That Sangokushi Retsuden track was very cool. I like the full sound it has. I particularly like the part that sounds like 32nd notes running up and down, it's a nice touch for a song that is otherwise kind of slow-paced.
ReplyDeleteIf you liked that track, you should check out the Sangokushi Retsuden track Rob played on Episode 41. It's even better!
DeleteWow, relistening to this episode and especially the Sangokushi Retsuden track made me realize what a great job Daisuke Tanabe did with his (?) intro song for the Diggin' in the Carts series. Soo much similarity!
ReplyDeleteGreat focus idea. The main theme from KiKi KaiKai has a specifically Japanese vibe. For those interested I suggest giving it a listen.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I generally prefer SNES music over Genesis, I do think the Honda stage track is much stronger on the Genesis in particular.
ReplyDeleteThe Ninja Warriors - Hisayoshi Ogura - Up Stairs (Name Register) - This track reminds me of the bass line for Dead Souls by Joy Division...
