Episode 79: Slap Bass

Slap bass is the focus of Episode 79.  Brent and Rob only pick tracks with a heavily (or not so heavily) featured slap bass.  Also, Rob tries his best to stay awake, and manages to do so until the last fifth or so of the episode, but don't worry, it works out anyway.  Full track listing below.

  2. I have hardly been able to stop listening to Space Walk from "Lightening Force".....man, what a great track!

In fact, I would say it's between this track and "oblivious past" from episode 87 for my (preliminary) "best-previously-undiscovered-track-of-the-year!"

  3. Yeah that Greendog track sounds like some Portuguese folk dancy stuff from the region where my dad is from: Algarve. They call that sort of thing "Corridinho". If I can remember that exact track that it reminds me of -- I'll post it!

  4. I'm only saying this because Brent is such a stickler and his discipline inspires me: I doubt the presence of slap bass in the Aguri Suzuki F-1 Super Driving track.

  5. Maaan, that Tetris Attack track is really incredible. By far my favorite composition of the episode. That Gimmick! track is great, too.

  6. I find the lack of Insector X disturbing.
