This is it, users! To celebrate the end of each LMH year, both boizz count down their top ten favorite new musical discoveries. Brent and Rob switch (haha) off their selections at each level, so you'll hear both #10s, then both #9s, and so on up to the ultimate #1s. This tradition may be a little more difficult to follow in mixtape form, but all you really need to know is that this tune parade is full of heavy-hitters whose attack power keeps increasing as the rush continues. Make it to the end and congratulate yourselves on the first completed Legacy Music Hour year with a staff roll and some cake -- and if you have your own top ten list from the 2010-2011 era, share it down below or wherever you want!

Wish you had the musical listing for this mixtape. I haven't listened to all the mixtapes/podcasts this year, so seeing the listing in THIS one seems more important than ever to me.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, it'd be great if the mixtape episodes mentioned the names of the songs and the game they're from between songs. Coz currently it's really hard to figure out what was the song you heard in the middle of the podcast.
If you don't want the name/game of the songs in the middle of the mixtape, at least putting the playback times in the blog posts here would be REALLY helpful.
It took me second to figure out what the deal is with this episode, but it's all the music from episode 52 with no discussion in between. Sadly, the description of episode 52 also doesn't contain the track list, because they didn't want to spoil the reveal, but if you go back and listen to that one, they should explain their choices.
DeleteIf you're looking for a more active video game music podcast, I'd recommend Game That Tune. The hosts aren't experts, but they try to make a fun guessing game using video game music, and they just put out their best of 2016 mixtape. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast?id=1080176913
Hey Edouard Lorenceau, just responding to let you know that the Best of Year in Review Mixtape posts will now include the setlists for these episodes. Thanks for bringing up the idea.
DeleteTo John H.: Late response, but is this the same John H. who is actually a host on Game That Tune himself?
DeleteIf so, there were definitely other venues for promoting your podcast as an alternative to the Legacy Music Hour that were more appropriate than the Legacy Music Hour's own blog. I hope you can understand how posting this here, especially while posing as an unaffiliated listener, was rude.
Please don’t deprecate other shows as a means of boosting the visibility of your own.
