Episode 174: Free Play 26

Episode 174 is an unofficial focus on haircut tracks.  That is, track names that are haircut related.  Rob specifically made his track list haircut themed, and Brent did too, but spontaneously while the episode was recording, after finding out how Rob prepared.  And actually, regardless of the track names, this is definitely the haircut episode, because there's lots of talk about haircuts and scissors and other barber related stuff.  So, to recap, this is officially the haircut episode, but musically, it's ultimately, basically a free play.  Well, you be the judge.  Full track listing below.

LMH Mixtape #28: Sonic the Hedgehog

Writing the usual sort of unbiased third-person introduction was almost impossible for KeyGlyph this week.  Why is that, you ask?  Because for her -- as well as countless other gamers -- the music from the Sonic the Hedgehog series holds some of the nearest and dearest spots in her VGM-loving heart.  This mixtape may send you through loop-de-loops of nostalgia, or it may take you to previously unknown zones; either way, there's simply no denying that the LMH Sonic the Hedgehog focus was way past cool.

LMH Mixtape #25: Nobuo Uematsu

Brent has occasionally referred to Nobuo Uematsu as "the John Williams of video game music" for good reason.  Uematsu's incredible work with the Final Fantasy series has earned him fans all over the world, and not just among dedicated video game hobbyists.  For this composer focus the boizz compiled a setlist with two distinct phases (or forms): the first is a chronological survey of Uematsu's music, and the second is a less structured collection of favorite selections.  Enjoy them both!
