Had to pause the podcast real quick to make a brief comment: Brent, the mystery tune you're humming at the 1:25:30 mark is definitely the Mii Channel!
ReplyDeleteNice avatar, by the way.
DeleteNice avatar, by the way.
(see what I did there? there?)
Swim slowly past eight arms.
DeleteGreat episode!!
ReplyDeleteThe music was very solid and the talking was good too!
I was just about to go to bed when the episode came out, and I ended up staying awake for 2 extra hours.
Brent looks like a total NARC in the pic.
ReplyDeleteBrent: "Psst. Hey kids, would you like some.........PASTRIES? You two look like you like to imbibe in the pastridge, want something fruity and creamy in your mouth? I'm not a narc, HONEST. Hey there, Studio Trevor, would you like a bulbous, fruity pastry to stick in your mouth? You know you'd like it."
DeleteOhmygosh there were sooo many bonk tracks in this episode. It's also possibly the longest episode in memory. I was sure that the Kyuukai Douchuuki track would be my favorite, because it's so awesome and not typically Mega Drive sounding, but man, there were a string of hot hot hits after it.....Maybe Super Bonk was the Bonkest of all.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.
As an aside, Nice April Fool's Day trick releasing this episode the same time as the latest VGMpire. "Oh that Nathan", I can imagine you said, "How's the poor fool going to decide what to listen to on his way to work?"
DeleteI did the only thing a responsible game music nerd COULD do. I listened to them both at the same time.
Anyone else ever had a Bonk Bash?
DeleteLMH is on Pause while I go find the Dragon's Earth soundtrack. Those drums!
ReplyDeleteYea the dragon's earth track was off the chain.
DeleteI love this podcast so much, sometimes I can't believe it's really happening. I think I am addicted to that Riverse Kids track. It's kinda good.
ReplyDeleteThat Accele Brid track is jam. I am also way into Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge's "Menu 2" -- both the original recording AND the LMH cover version.
ReplyDeleteI loved the super angst surrounding Dragon's Earth, but I have to admit my heart broke a little bit on Brent's "...are you doing this on purpose??" Poor guy. Ron's too good at those mind games.
Happy birthday, Studio!
Hey guys,
ReplyDeleteJust for the record, I had no idea what kind of game Riverse Kids was...yikes. But the track's pretty good...right?
Awesome episode as always and Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if next episode the monster that lives in Rob's pocket could make an appearance? He's been MIA way too long, and I think you guys definitely have enough time to book him for the next show. I understand he's extremely busy, but this is important. I need to know what he's been up to.
I heard that the Monster That Lives in Rob's Pocket is fond of pool.
ReplyDeleteFerrari Grand Prix- Best track this episode?
ReplyDeleteHave had a busy few months and it was a pleasure to have hours of you guys to catch up on.
ReplyDeleteI liked how in this episode you guys kept talking about next week's episode instead of next month. I'm hoping that is some freudian slip and you guys will realize you should be doing this biweekly at least!
One of your best episodes !!!
