Episode 191: Sensing Things

For Episode 191, Brent and Rob didn’t have a very good internet connection, so they didn’t use video to see each other (despite what's shown in the photo below).  So since they were going audio only, they had to psychically sense any visual things that might be happening.  They also talk about Italian video games and open some user donated gifts.  A lot of tributes on this episode, as well.  Full track listing below.

  1. The Mega Manicotti pairs well with the Sauvignon Blanka.

  2. The VGM Jukebox always likes getting shout out by their DadCast. And thank you for the personal dedication. I can feel my bone density increasing on that track.

BTW, unfortunately it was also my RIGHT leg that broke, so our Voltron would have two left feet. It would have to listen to HAL's Hole in One Golf and "Dance Alone."

    1. The Apartment is SO GOOD. I've been playing it constantly since I first heard it; it puts a big, stupid smile on my face and I don't mind a bit!

  4. That Sailor Moon track blew my socks off.

I agree with Keyglyph, the sega master system and the Game Gear have some REALLY great tracks in their games. There's just something about the sound of their chip, it's very distinct from the NES one.

For whatever reason, I seem to like the Game Gear tracks even more than the Master System ones. Gunstar Heroes on the Game Gear actually sounds cooler to me than the Genesis version, like, WAY cooler.

  5. I really hope that next months special topic is modern games that play and sound like a legacy game. Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge etc

    1. Also I would like to know if either of the boizzz have seen Sonic Mania which is out next week and if either are going to pick up, though I'm pretty sure neither have a modern console
