Episode 240: Competition

Competition is kind of the theme of Episode 240 -not just in sports but also on the streets and other things.  But also, guess what though?  More Pac-Man talk on this episode!  And more controversial theories about the Pac-Man universe.  Speaking of controversies, the boys also touch on the scam going on with retro video game prices these days.  Full track listing below.

  2. So who’s going to be the unfortunate soul that has to break the news to Toby Fox that Brent Weibach claims that the soundtrack to Undertale isn’t “true video game music”?

  3. The Nekketsu! Street Basket: Ganbare Dunk Heroes actually has a hint that it's supposed to be Hawaii- one of the sections seems to reference the song "Hawaiian War Chant". I'm surprised that Brent, as a Dole Whip enthusiast, didn't catch on to this, since the song is part of the Enchanted Tiki Room show at Disneyland. Now the real question is, does this affect the legality of the track?

    1. Thanks! If a track momentarily quotes something (like the Overworld music in Kid Icarus which quotes St. Thomas or the Stage 1 music in TMNT III which quotes the TMNT TV theme song), it's legal, but if the track is a full cover or adaptation, it's not.
