  1. Another great episode, lots of "boss" =p music!

  3. Speaking of light gun games -- the theme song for Safari Hunt for Sega Master System came to mind. I wonder if it's the first video game instance of a hip-hop record scratch sort of sound?

  4. Good job Brent on the hard work on Castlevania 3. I've been playing that game a lot myself since December or so. I'm working on a no cheat speedrun using only Trevor. As you can imagine, it's been quite the undertaking. Especially the subterrainian levels. And yes. Those birds. Yuck.

Gardens of Taxco! Every time my family goes to Los Angeles we eat there. Good stuff. "It tastes like the shrimp was borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn in it." They poorly but magically performed songs at our table.

That Mouryou Senki Madara bass is perfect. What a fantastic arrangement. I'm not surprised that this track is so good.

Math rock: See Don Caballero - What Burns Never Returns
    all you need to know.

  5. Triumphal Return of the Beast is officially my "JAM".

Great again. The sylvan giant that is Mouryou Senki Madara keeps yielding tuneful fruit.

If you guys are still open to topic suggestions, how about a Churches/Temples episode, with music from appropriate stages/levels/areas?

  7. Glad you liked the year focus idea, whether it was originally from me or not!

I think most people call the Pokemon track something like "Fight vs Gym Leader" or "Gym Leader Battle".

  8. Rob - check out this Lightening Force remix: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02585/

  9. Good episode, liked the in-between tracks chatter.

I had an idea for a theme, that may not really stand up to a whole episode, but music from sim games (Like from Sim City et al but also any other simulation game)

They all seem to have pretty decent music on a low key mood

  10. My favorite boss music is this Nobou Uematsu classic from Final Fantasy Legend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mot_rLWwohY#t=2m16s
