For the record, I suggested that Heavy Nova track to Rob, and I did so specifically because it sounded like an L. Rob Hubbard track, and completely different from all the other tracks on that OST(which all sounded more typically Japanese).
ReplyDeleteHa great episode as usual. I’m loving that side pocket track! You guys are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think it's high time to let the Gabecube guest host an episode.
ReplyDeleteSaint Dragon...Battle Tycoon...mm, two chef kisses. Lots of laughs, thanks to the virgins.
ReplyDeleteWoooo Gabe's corner is back!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick with the Shinobi III track as well.
I'm definitely looking forward to another beyond 4th gen episode.
ReplyDeleteMaybe check out some music from Undertale or Hollow Knight?
They call it soccer in Europe too... it’s just football is more common name. Both is correct.
ReplyDeleteAustralian here. We say soccer. We have a different sport that goes by the football name called Australian Rules Football which has its own NES game too developed by Beam Software with music by Marshall Parker who also did the Shadowrun SNES soundtrack. Rob, after I teach you about Rugby I will teach you about AFL.
ReplyDeleteThat jingle was virgin on the ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning the other podcast you were guests on. I enjoyed listening to that too.
And I'm glad Gabe's corner is back. Gabecube!
I had to laugh at how you went to so much effort over football and soccer, but then when it came to billiards you were like, "Well, I think it's just pool..."
Was that town on the Satellaview an FM Towns Marty?
ReplyDeleteLately I've been in the unfortunate habit of waiting so long to comment after I've listened to an episode that I forget all the things I wanted to say about it, but these are the two takeaways remained with me this month:
ReplyDelete1. I laughed at the mention of Paw Patrol. That is one of the first major children's franchises I hadn't heard of on my own before my nephew showed up to Thanksgiving one year with a bucket of toys and had to educate me.
2. I too am thrilled that the Gabe Corner is being built out into a proper GabeCubicle.
Emily, I'm ashamed to say that i just started listening to the VGM jukebox, and by episode 15 I was ready to submit voice recordings and really just spam you guys hard, but upon glancing now see that the series is done. I cry. But I will say this. I actually DID cry when you told about the beating of Sonic 2 and getting your mom to watch with you. Serious feels. Looking forward to listening to everything up to the finale.
Delete"Viiiiirgin" is now my phone alert noise.
